“I like you in my bed.”- Find out more in the Wolves of We Waterfalls Trilogy

Today we have a little snippet and Sylvian answered some questions for us. ;) Come check out Wolves of Wet Waterfalls Trilogy Set!

Teaser Time

At some point, I woke up comfortable and warm. I reached out for Gage. His side of the bed was empty. The sheet was cold. I sat up, my gaze scanning the room. He leaned against the window, looking out on the snow.

Light licked down his muscular form, across his broad shoulders and around his ass. He looked carved from marble in the blue light of the moon.

“It will be full next week,” I said as if he wasn’t already keenly aware of the moon phases.

He turned his gaze to meet me.

“I like you in my bed.” The light picked up a slight grin playing across his mouth.

I titled my head to the side and shrugged. I liked his bed too, but I’d like it better if he were in it with me. He turned to continue gazing out the window.

I scooted out and hobbled over to him. His skin was warm and smooth as I ran my hand over his back and arm. I pressed against his side and followed his gaze with my own.

Snow and more snow.

Close to the lodge, the ground was a clean blanket of white, and then the trees started. Those woods continued for miles and miles up the side of the mountains. Not a steady slope, the terrain swelled and lowered, and continued up. At some point, the trees were interrupted by a scar of freeway cutting into the side of the mountain range.

And once upon a time, a terrified woman ran across that freeway and jumped down the side of that mountain not wearing any shoes, because the monster driving the car she was in was more frightening than the prospect of freezing to death.

I buried my face against Gage’s ribs. He would say I traded one monster for another. I’d never trade this one for anything.

“Can you tell me what happened?” I asked. I needed to hear someone else’s story. I was sick to death of mine. I was tired of having to repeat it over and over again for the FBI. And I was tired of reliving it in my head.

Question Time

"1. Who is your favorite character from your newest release? And why?"

"That's a toss up between Gage and Yuki. Gage is obvious, he's my book boyfriend from these stories, handsome and noble and hot. He is tall has dark curly hair, with a ridiculously sexy curl in the middle of his forehead. He's a local sheriff and that man can make khaki look sexy as hell.

Yuki is one of the BFFs to Bailey, the FMC, and she is wickedly hysterical. She is literally Delight. She is this tiny kawaii/lolita woman, and everyone loves her."

"2. How do you balance work and home life? "

My family might say I don't balance. I tend to get obsessive when I'm in the middle of writing a story. I feel like I could use better life/work balance skills. I stay up too late on the wrong nights.

"3. First Paranormal romance book you read? "

Does Interview with a Vampire count? Because it goes back a long ways that I've loved vampires and werewolves. Sherrilyn Kenyon's Darkhunters really hooked me in as a super fan of the paranormal.

"4. Do you Google yourself? If so did you laugh or find it interesting?"

Sometimes. But it's never anything I wasn't expecting, so it's kind of boring.

"5. How do you select the names of your characters? "

I typically only select side/support character names. Lead characters always show up with their own names. They have been known to correct me too. Like they'll come on the scene with a nickname, and I'll think it's short for one thing, but nope, it's a different name. In the Wolves of Wet Waterfalls, Max wouldn't tell me his name for the longest time. He really liked it when Bailey called him Doggo, so Doggo he was until someone else told me he was Max.

"6. If you didn’t write, what would you do for work? "

I currently have a handful of part-time jobs until the writing can support me in the lifestyle I dream of. If I didn't write, I would probably have another part-time gig. I kind of like the idea of working at a movie theater these days. (I have no idea why, maybe free movies?)

"7. What is your writing Kryptonite? "

The "oh shiny" new story. They are so pretty and intriguing and distracting, and I have something over here that needs my attention and must be finished, but "oooh shiny."

"8. Who are you reading now? "

I'm working my way through the Dresden Files, and the newest Mercy Thompson just came out.

"9. Do you have a special playlist for writing? "

Different characters get different music. I listened to a lot of goth rock for the manuscript I just finished, but I had another release where K-pop was a must. The Wolves of Wet Waterfalls got a lot of play time from the Latin Workout Playlist on Pandora, and Mack the Knife Radio.

"10. Last, if you could go back before you published your first book and do it all over again, would you? All the hard parts and easy strides."

I've only been in this for a few years, so yeah, I think I'd got for it again.
