New Release!“No, you can’t be mine. This can’t be the way I find you.”Find out if Julian is his mate

Snippet Time!

Red eyes bore into Julian like daggers trying to take her soul. Fear slid down her spine as her heart raced in her ears. She stared at a male’s face. Fangs poked out of his mouth, and Julian’s mind raced to figure out how someone could have freaking fangs. Her chest ached from her racing heart.

He grabbed her chin and tipped her head to the right as his face dipped closer. She tried to move her chin against his grip, but he was way too strong. His tongue slid over her skin, making her stomach turn. She wanted to be anywhere but near him in the stupid dark alley. Why did I take this way home? A sharp pinching sensation dipped onto her skin, and she screamed from the pain. Her head thrashed as he sucked the blood from her neck. She tried again to push him away, but he wouldn’t budge. Someone yelled from the left, and the sharp pain vanished, letting blood slide down her neck. Her hands trembled, but she clenched them to stop the movement.

“Come on, let the lady go,” a strong voice called out, and something deep inside Julian’s brain lit up. Why does he sound so hot? The first guy’s tongue slid over her neck, extinguishing all desire as her head began to spin from the blood loss and the feeling of her blood still running down her shoulder. The male in front of her backed away, and she fell to her knees, scraping her shins as she connected with the rough ground. She groaned low at the contact, and when she looked up, two sets of red eyes were focused on her. Julian’s vision faltered, and she was forced to blink a few times, yet the dark alley made it hard to see much.

“Leave. I’m enjoying my snack,” the first guy hissed.

“Give up, or I’ll be forced to end you. The king said to try and take you alive, but if you keep attacking this human, I’ll take action.” The way he spoke, with a furious confidence, sent heat through her body. I shouldn’t be turned on right now, I should be fearful. She blinked again, trying to focus on the truth of her situation. Her whole center of gravity seemed to shift somehow.

“Human?” the words slurred from Julian’s mouth. Shifters didn’t have red eyes, at least not that she knew of.

“Fuck off.” He grabbed her again, and this time she caught a glimpse of blood dripping off his fangs before he sank them into her neck.

A scream left her lungs, and it slowly lost its intensity as her shaking intensified. This isn’t good! The pulling sensation stopped, and he dropped her to the ground as he hissed. Her eyes fluttered closed as the echo of a squelching sound hit her ears.

“Damn it.” The other male growled as he repeated the two words. “No, you can’t be mine. This can’t be the way I find you.” His words had no meaning as she faded out of consciousness.

More echoing voices sounded in her ears, but only his concerned voice broke through the clouds. Her heart rang in her ears, but it didn’t sound strong or steady. I don’t want to die. She wanted to scream, but her lips wouldn’t move on her command.
