Magic and a touch of coffee... must be love!

We have E.L. Roux with us today and she's answered some questions for us. ;)

1. Who is your favorite character from your newest release? And why? I love Cane in Unrequited Love. He's such a grouchy character that just wants the love of a woman he cares about. He has a tough exterior, but underneath he's a softy. It doesn't help that he also has wiccan magic, amazing horns, and a backstory that I'll get more into in a later book. :)

2. How do you balance work and home life? I can get a bit tough, especially when work gets hectic or I need to help out my friends. I also have to do quite a bit of driving to get where I need to go, so that sucks even more time out of my work/home balance.

3. First Paranormal romance book you read? Dang, this is a hard one. I know the first romance I ever read, Led Astray, but I'm not quite sure if this is my first paranormal romance, but it IS the one I remember as really getting me into the genre, Dark Prince by Christine Feehan.

4. Do you Google yourself? If so did you laugh or find it interesting? I have! There are a lot of cool people out there with my name, in fact, there are several people who use to send me emails meant for the others without the period and we got to chatting and checking up on each other. It's really nice.

5. How do you select the names of your characters? Sometimes names just come to me, other times I search for the root of the character or what they want to express and see what names come up under that meaning. I also use google translate to see what it would be in other languages and how it might be pronounced.

6. If you didn’t write, what would you do for work? I work and write currently, and am doing a lot of what I love, R&D in the science and space industry :)

7. What is your writing Kryptonite? Editing. Editing is my kryptonite. It takes me about 3 times as long to do my 1st pass after my rough draft, but after that, it goes really smoothly. I don't know what it is about that first read through that slows everything down. Perhaps if I didn't pants it so much, it go quicker? LOL

8. Who are you reading now? I read all the time, about 3 books a week. Currently I go back and forth between Science Fiction Romance, Fantasy Romance, and Distopian Romance

9. Do you have a special playlist for writing? I do shows instead of playlists. On repeat. Forever! LOL. It used to be Reno 911, then I switched to Archer, but recently it's been Bob's Burgers and the Great British Baking Show.

10. Last, if you could go back before you published your first book and do it all over again, would you? All the hard parts and easy strides. Yes! Everything is a learning experience, even when it works. I'd have some suggestions for my earlier self, but I'd still do it :)
